Muffins sitting on white plate

Every once in a while, you need a sweet treat. That’s when it’s great to have some honey muffins around the house. However, you don’t have to spend money at your local bakery to get the best honey muffins around. Even if you aren’t a stellar baker, you can throw some honey muffins together in no time. They’re sweet, delicious, and perfect for both breakfast and dessert – pretty much whenever you want to eat them. If these sweet treats sound fantastic to you and you’re ready to get your bake on, check out how to throw them together.

Ingredients

Gather all your ingredients before you start baking your recipe. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 cup 2 percent milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey

Directions

Now that you have everything you need gathered and ready to go, you can get to baking. First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and combine your flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Get another bowl and add in the wet ingredients. When they’re all mixed, you can add them to the dry ingredients, stirring well.

Pour this mixture into muffin tins. (It’s a good idea if you use paper liners if you want to avoid a big mess.) Place the muffins into the oven for about 15 to 18 minutes. You’ll want to check on them periodically to make sure they’re not burnt. Once you can stick a toothpick into the middle of a muffin and it comes out clean, you know they’re cooked through and ready to go.
