The American Folk Art Museum Veterans Day Celebration is a unique event that combines education and entertainment. The event runs from noon to 7 p.m., and it is packed full of activities. There will be a screening of the film “Zulu” and a discussion on the relationship between propaganda and quilts. Also, the Warrior Writers will be there. This community consists of veterans, service members, and others who use their talents to express the veteran experience. They will conduct a poetry reading.
That sounds like a lot of fun, but what about the kids? Don’t worry. The organizers thought of everything. There will be children’s activities, so they will stay busy during the event.

The VFMAC New York City Veterans Day Parade, Recruiting, and Regiment Event is probably going to be one of the biggest Veterans Day events in the country. After all, it’s the only one that managed to get Buzz Aldrin to attend. He will be the grand marshal for the parade. He’s just one of the 40,000 people expected to participate. The herald trumpets will launch event, and then the men and women of the military will march by. It is a sight to behold. Get your tickets so you can be one of the half-million people expected to attend. Tickets are $35, and the event begins at 10 a.m.
