The Family Learning Lab
Art and science come together in the Family Learning Lab. Young artists are encouraged to explore the art and science behind the weather in this unique lab. Your kiddos can create cloud mobiles and learn about the weather. The Family Learning Lab is free to use when you pay for admission to the museum. Stop by the next time you go to MAM. Family Events
There are some fun family events coming up that you won’t want to miss. The Drop-In Studio is one of the most popular events the museum has to offer, and it takes place every Sunday. Instructors help families create their own works of art in this studio. You can stay for a bit or work on your masterpiece for several hours. Then, you get to take it home with you.
The MAM Park Bench takes place on the second Wednesday of each month. This is part social event, part art event. You get to meet other parents while your kids interact with other children. Everyone works on art projects, and you’ll get a guided tour of the museum. There is even storytelling time at this event. If you have young kids, you need to check this out.
Family Art Adventure takes place on the third Saturday of the month. This event is geared toward kids aged 6–12 and their parents. You will talk about various pieces of art in the gallery. Then, everyone will move to the studio where you will work on your own project.
