Configuring your HR-V with front-wheel drive and the standard 6-speed manual transmission will give you 25 mpg* in the city, 34* on the highway, and 28* combined. Going with the CVT increases efficiency to 28 city/35 highway/31 combined*. Even with all-wheel drive, the Honda HR-V still gets 27/32/29 mpg*. These impressive fuel economy numbers are thanks in part to the 141-horsepower, 127-pound-foot, 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine.
Honda HR-V Cargo Versatility
To make the most of the HR-V’s cargo space, it comes with a unique rear seat arrangement. The HR-V is one of the few models in its class that can fit a child car seat on the smaller side of the Magic 60/40 rear seat and still fit a road bike without its front wheel on the other side. For added cargo versatility, you can fold up the seat bottom of the rear seats to store tall items. You can even fold down the front passenger seat to fit something as long as a surfboard. The maximum cargo capacity of 58.8 cubic feet is a class leader. Even with all seats occupied, you get 24.3 cubes for storage.

In addition to the standard Magic seat in the rear, the HR-V comes with a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and height-adjustable driver’s seat for comfort. For added comfort, upgrade and get a sunroof, heated front seats, and leather upholstery. Higher trims also have the LaneWatch system, keyless entry plus ignition, fog lights, navigation, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror for convenience.
